Mr. Bill Moyers’ and the “Fairness Doctrine”

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

(Please leave us your thoughts and comments)

Below, Mister Bill Moyers weighs in on the Fairness Doctrine’s reimposition. His comments are interesting for a couple of reasons. One, they miss the point. As this and other sites have remarked, The Doctrine (or some form thereof enjoys both overt (US Senator’s Stabenow and Kerry to name a few), and covert support. Look for covert supporters  to pursue “localism” and “media diversity” (“media consolidation” is another phrase to watch) to accomplish the Fairness Doctrine’s impact and suppress all dissenting views. Policies which individuals like Moyers and those of his ilk are apt to endorse instead. Don’t be fooled by the public disavowal of the “Fairness Doctrine”. Those who aspire to eliminate conservative/libertarian viewpoints are relentless in their approach. That is why the actions of the Julius Genachowski-led FCC must be thoroughly and constantly scrutinized. Media censorship is very much alive and well in the hearts of numerous policymakers and activists. Second: Moyers really did say the following:

These people earn millions inciting riots in the public mind. If they were required to be fair, they would soon be penniless, out on the street, cup in hand.

Free Speech Alert – Please Read and Circulate

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

On Tuesday, June 16th, the United States Senate will hold confirmation hearings for at least two of the nominees to the Federal Communications Commission. The total number of commissioners is five, no more than two of whom can be members of the same political party. The Commission is charged with oversight of the wire, satellite, cable, television AND radio traffic. The hearings are scheduled for June 16, 2:30 PM EDT before the Senate Science, Transportation and Commerce committee. At issue for those of us in Talk Radio and for freedom loving Americans everywhere: censorship, whether it’s called the “Fairness Doctrine”, community standards, local control, or diversity. There is and should be no doubt that the Left is looking for a way to squelch dissent (conservative talk). The question is how to accomplish the mission behind the scenes while publicly disavowing it.  The purpose of this blog and thousands of others like it is to see to it that these nominees are THOROUGHLY vetted as to their views on censorship of ANY KIND. For the record, the Commission nominees are: Julius Genachowski (D) and Robert McDowell (R). Two more nominees may be forthcoming and confirmed during the June 16th hearings as well. The bottom line: thorough vetting for ALL nominees. Stay tuned for future develeopments.

More Money Than Sense – Why the “Super-Rich” Love Socialism…

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Comparisons are indeed odious, but need to be made in this case. By Super-Rich, we mean folks lie Warren Buffett, George Soros, and many Wall Street titans. The short-hand term for such individuals: The “More Money Than Sense” crowd.  By Socialists, we mean folks like Democrats, liberals and… Barack H. Obama. This piece is an OUTSTANDING illustration of the dangers these folks pose for the rest of us. It also demonstrates once again that these people are not altruists. In fact, quite the opposite. They are selfish, greedy, and duplicitous.
