I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ruffini in Washington, D.C. a couple of weeks ago. My takeaway from the event: I need to use my blog as a catalyst for activism and news breaking versus plain old punditry. This article merits attention.

As we mercifully wind down from what has been a long and extended election season, I want to say thanks to all of my fellow “Palin” bloggers on this and other sites. Your posts have been insightful and informative and I look forward to reading more of them. I hope this site remains vibrant. As to Governor Palin, she has been subjected to a grueling, dehumanizing and in some ways unfair process. Nonetheless, she is a decent, bright, ambitious and highly talented individual. Should she so choose, she will have a future in national/Republican politics for years to come. I look forward to what she has to say. We conservatives have much soul-searching to do in order to provide the type of vision the country needs and wants. I look forward to moving that debate forward.

Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin has “settled” with Justice Department officials. Why? Click here. Apparently, he never bothered to comply with the law in the first place. Moreover, in a not entirely unrelated matter, Barack Obama confidante/David Axelrod client/Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick also has ties to…. ACORN (SHOCKING I Know). As a Boston Herald report indicates, the good governor funneled $33000 to this organization. All the more reason to vote YES on Question 1.

Pennsylvania in play for McCain/Palin? Not so here but Rendell says?
Frances Rice of the National Black Republican Association on Al Sharpton on Colin Powell.
Joe Biden waxes buffoonish yet again.

Given the kid-gloves treatment by the media, given the tumultuous economic conditions, given the national anti-Republican sentiment, given the public’s restive calls for “change”, given the candidate’s multiple Friends in Low Places problem, why isn’t Barack Obama Mopping the floor with John McCain? Karl Rove lays out some of the reasons. To which I would add: Obama has never closed the deal when he had to, going back to January’s New Hampshire Democratic primary, when he was supposed to wipe the floor with Senator Hillary Clinton. Moreover, the injection of Joe the Plumber into the campaign debate is the metaphor for blue collar America that Obama does not need. Joe reminds the rest of us Middle Class Americans that Obama/Pelosi/Reid/Kerry/Frank/Dodd/Carter/Kennedy/Gore/Rangel/Durbin/Biden/ et. al. are the enemy. They represent anti-America/anti-Western/anti-Israel/anti-Capitalist/anti-democratic/anti free thought subversion. Remember President John F. Kerry folks? I anticipate that the Joe the Plumber/Hillarycrats/Annoy the Media-Vote McCain/Palin types will provide Senator McCain-Governor Palin the margin of electoral victory in this election.

If the election is held today, McCain-Palin is going to get SMOKED in Virginia. However, the election is not held today, and according to the latest reputable poll from Suffolk University’s David Paleologos, there is a silver lining. It comes in the form of conflicting results from the two bellweather localities. To speak with Dave live, tune in to Patriot Games Radio on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 7 PM EST and listen to David explain the results and the internals.

Not being a foreign policy expert myself, the following stumble (alleged) went completely over my head. If true however, it falls to we the people to disseminate the facts. Read and respond.

This is an excellent posting from an excellent blog site, Noquarter. It is dominated, I suspect, by disaffected Hillary voters. Let’s see how this shakes out in November. The title of this post is: A Feminist Voting Republican.

For those inclined to take Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin lightly, Christopher Orr’s New Republic article stands as a sobering read. Sobering to those inclined to dismiss Palin as a lightweight. Suffice it to say that if the same individual was wrapped in a Democrat’s body, the response of the chattering classes would be 180 degrees different. The Bottom LIne here: Annoy the Media; Vote McCain-Palin.
