Talk Radio, The Fascist Doctrine, the “left-wing boomlet”, and the future of Conservatism as seen through Brian Mahoney’s “The Radio Equalizer”
Bertram Gross warned of dangers of “Friendly Fascism” before Jonah Goldberg’s newer model.
The British press is increasingly assuming the role of skeptic (American ‘journalists’ once performed this role but no more).
Vladimir Putin NOT an Obama Kool-Aid drinker.

Admittedly, Senator Obama has plenty of company when it comes to economic illiteracy. However, since it is possible he will be this nation’s next President, here is an example of his illiteracy; Obama - Economic Illiterate.
The key to a sound economy; growth, wealth, entrepreneurship. Governor Palin gets it instinctively; McCain’s proposal is more weighted toward growth than not. But in general, Democrats want Americans fighting over the pieces of the economic pie. Republicans want to make the pie larger and realize that the American people are the pie-bakers.

H/T to Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit. Thanks for doing this Professor Reynolds.
Professor Ann Althouse deconstructs some anti-Palin rantings.
I am convinced Hollywood is experiencing diversity - meaning it’s anti-conservative bias is being exposed.
John Kass on Chicago’s culture of corruption - i.e. Daly, Liberal Elite, Obama, Ayers, etc. P.S. - With Daly the second, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
And the AP’s franchise continues to decline.

First the why:
Media-inspired backlash. It goes without saying that the so-called mainstream media are actively rooting for Obama. However, this blatant cheerleading will not go unobserved by the regular “folks”. And the regular folks will go to the polls on November 4th and make their disdain for the media felt - by voting for McCain-Palin. Remember George H.W. Bush’s war cry: “Annoy theĀ media, vote Bush.”
Now the “how”
Attack relentlessly. Make Obama the issue; Palin is leading the way on this one. Frame the issue as follows: “Who is Barack Obama?”; “What does he stand for?”; “Why should one vote for him?”; “What does he stand for?” If Obama is the issue on November 4, 2008, he loses - just like he always does. He has never been able to seal the deal with voters because they believe he lacks the necessary qualifications to do the job.
AYERS/ACORN/Socialism, George Soros, etc. - Obama’s past is catching up to his present. Too much dirty business for voters to accept. I repeat, Barack Obama is NOT his own man. He is a cat’s paw for subversives and radicals bent on destroying this country’s traditions, institutions and foundations from WITHIN.
Hillarycrats/PUMA/Democrat defectors - are just getting their mojo.

My first introduction to Camille Paglia came via my mother, who found her radio presence appealing. That was probably 15 years ago. My next Paglia moment came at an appearance she made at Harvard University/Kennedy School. She was pithy, entertaining and informative; a tour-de-force. She still is; read her latest thoughts on Governor Sarah Palin, et al.

If the election is held today, McCain-Palin is going to get SMOKED in Virginia. However, the election is not held today, and according to the latest reputable poll from Suffolk University’s David Paleologos, there is a silver lining. It comes in the form of conflicting results from the two bellweather localities. To speak with Dave live, tune in to Patriot Games Radio on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 7 PM EST and listen to David explain the results and the internals.

According to the folks at The American Spectator, the Flim-Flam Man’s campaign fundraising leaves something to be desired. Something like… integrity, ethics, and adherence to the law. Let’s us not forget that Obama originally endorsed publicly financed campaigns. Of course, that was only for other candidates not himself. Specifically, an FEC analyst suggests that as much as $200,000,000 in illegal funds are sluicing into the Obama campaign’s coffers. Don’t hold your breath waiting for anyone from Justice/FEC to act.

Another “friends in low places” problem for the Flim-Flam man, Senator Barack H. Obama of Illinois. This time, the name to watch is one “Larry Walsh“, a so-called poker buddy and political confidante to the Illinois Senator. Political confidante as in beneficiary of millions of dollars earmarks bestowed by the fairy-dust king. I had no idea that Chicago, Illinois is home to so many “colorful” individuals. Perhaps Tony Rezko will have some company now.
