Independence Day

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

As I look back at past Independence Days that I have observed over my lifetime, I cannot help but wonder if this may be the last one that we as Americans will observe in the spirit of our Founders.

We have witnessed a steady and blatant disregard of our Rule Of Law and of our Constitution over the past few months by our Congress, and by our Executive Branch.  We have seen them ignore the will of the people and our American values through Executive Orders, and by the passing of bills that were voted on without even knowing what was contained in the draft.  All of this has moved us closer to socialism, and more government control of our lives. Our Congress also may be unknowingly handing over it’s power and usefulness to the Executive branch, rendering itself a non entity.  We see an Executive branch that seems to have more respect for other nations and religions then our own,  and the Christian principles upon which America was founded.  We do not need to apologize for standing up for liberty, and freedom.

Independence Day is a time to reflect back on the founding of this great nation.  We reflect back on a nation that was born because the people that came here wanted to break the bands of tyranny, and live in a country free of intrusive governmental restraints.

This Independence Day we will see celebrations, but we will also witness massive rallies, and demonstrations calling for a return to our founding principles, and a respect for the Rule Of Law.  We will see concerned citizens standing up for the future of our children and grandchildren so that they will not become slaves to the government through debt.  All of this is part of our Constitutional right to free speech, and right of assembly, rights which may be stripped away if we don’t stand up to preserve them now and into the future.

We will see Americans gather to show support for our Troops and Veterans that serve this country to see to it that our way of life and 0ur freedoms are protected.

This July 4Th should be a call to action for all Americans to stand up for our heritage, and way of life.  America is still the land of the free, and the home of the brave, but we will loose our freedom if we don’t stand together to see to it that they are preserved.

Those that would like to see America destroyed must be stopped.  We must stand together to let our voices ring out.  We must stand up and say that we don’t want  the “Change” that the left is attempting to bring to America through massive bailouts, Cap and Trade, Card Check, Amnesty for illegals; or any other bill that is unconstitutional.

America, reflect back on the past, but also think about the future of our great nation.  Stand up for our children.  Display your flags, and attend patriotic events this weekend.

Most of all pray for America and our leaders.  We can save this great land, and return to our founding principles.  God Bless America.

Meeting To Save America

Woot Woot Emery!!!!!! Congratulations

Woot Woot Emery!!!!!! Congratulations

On Saturday June 27, 2009 I attended the RightOnline training session in Chicago sponsored by Americans For Prosperity. The main purpose was to arm and equip it’s members with the information needed to get them involved in grassroots action through blogging.

Highlights of the event included a presentation by Steve Moore of The Wall Street Journal, and Joe the Plumber.

The room was full, and emotions were high as we learned how to work in our communities, and over the Internet to help keep America strong and to preserve our founding principles.

After the presentations, and training we introduced ourselves, and shared networking information. The time spent together as a group was very moving and emotional as we shared with each other our concerns for America, and why we were at this forum.

We left the form fired up, and ready to get to work to inform our friends, family, and neighbors of ways to continue to keep America strong. There was a deep respect for the rule of law , and The Constitution.

My highlight was getting to meet Joe The Plumber, and taking a picture with him.

All of us must find ways to keep the American Dream alive. We must fight back as the the left continues to move it’s agenda. We must preserve our country, and protect the future for our children, and grandchildren.

Get involved, and so that we can continue to live in a free America, that can prosper a we move into the future.

I ask you to also look into support groups like AFP, and join in with like minded Americans to save our great nation.

Making a difference

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

With all of the anti American legislation being shoved down our throats by Congress and The President, it is time for us to fight back.

We cannot just sit by and watch our rule of law and constitution continue to be trampled upon. It’s time to warn our fellow Americans about the policies of this current administration.

There are ways to arm yourself to do just that so that you can make a difference. It can be as simple as writting, and sharing your feelings about the things that you see on the news, or joining up with and supporting other like minded Americans to allow your voice to be heard.

We must also continue to hold our elected officials accountable with letters, faxes, and phone calls. We can no longer afford to sit on the side lines and watch our great country move toward socialism, or continue to bury itself in debt. We must protect the future of our children, and grandchildren.

Attend a Tea Party, write a letter to the editor, or attend a local, state or federal hearing. Let our elected officials know that we do care, and that they need to respect our rule of law, and Constitution.

It is not to late to turn our nation around and return it to it’s original foundation.
